JEF Contractors Inc
Roof Repairs

Fix the leak.
Keep the roof.

Fast, durable repairs for leaks, storm damage, missing shingles, and flashing. Based in Congers, NY and serving five states across the Northeast.

The Straight Answer

Does my roof need repair or replacement?

If the damage is limited to one spot, a repair is usually the right call. A leak around a chimney, a patch of missing shingles after a windstorm, or a cracked vent boot does not mean the whole roof is done. We diagnose the real problem and fix it right the first time, whether that is emergency tarping, flashing repair, a new vent boot, or a full section replacement.

What we do not do is patch over a roof that is failing everywhere at once. If leaks keep appearing in new places or the shingles are worn across the whole surface, we will tell you plainly that a roof replacement is the better spend, and show you why with what we found up there. The inspection and the estimate are free, and the answer you get is the honest one.

What We Fix

The problems we see most.

Leaks

We trace the water back to its real source and fix the cause, not just the stain on the ceiling.

Storm Damage

Wind, hail, and fallen limbs. Emergency tarping first if needed, then a lasting repair.

Missing Shingles

Blown-off or worn shingles replaced and secured so the exposed spot stops taking on water.

Flashing Failures

Chimneys, valleys, and wall lines resealed and reflashed where most leaks actually start.

Vent Boots

Cracked pipe boots are a small part with a big leak. We swap them out properly.

Section Replacements

When one area is past saving, we rebuild that section without touching the rest.

Storm Damage

Hit by hail, wind, or a fallen tree?

Storm repairs are where speed and paperwork both matter. We prioritize storm damage and active leaks in our schedule, and if the damage looks like an insurance claim, we handle that side too. Our insurance claims service covers the free inspection, full photo and report documentation, and direct communication with your adjuster.

And if the damage is real but does not rise to a claim, we tell you that instead. Zero pressure. You get a straight repair estimate and you decide.

How It Works

What a repair visit looks like.

It starts with a free estimate. We get on the roof, find the actual source of the problem, and put the fix in writing with materials, scope, and price. No surprises and no high-pressure sales. Our crews are trained, equipped, and insured, and they protect your property while they work, which means tarps where they belong and a clean site when they leave.

Most repairs can be scheduled within a few days. While we are up there, we also flag anything else worth knowing about, like gutters that are backing water up under the shingle edge. If that is part of your problem, our gutter services can be folded into the same visit and the same estimate.

FAQs

Roof repair questions.

How fast can you fix a roof leak?
Most repairs can be handled within a few days, and active leaks get prioritized ahead of routine work. If water is coming in right now, call us and we can get emergency tarping in place to stop the damage while the repair gets scheduled.
Can you replace just one section of my roof?
Yes. If the damage is limited to one area, we replace that section and leave the rest of the roof alone. We diagnose the real problem first, so you are not paying for work the roof does not need.
Do you repair flashing and vent boots?
Yes. Failed flashing and cracked vent boots are two of the most common sources of roof leaks, and both are standard repairs for our crews.
My roof was damaged in a storm. Will insurance cover it?
It often can. We work directly with insurance companies on storm, hail, and wind damage claims. We inspect for free, document everything with photos and reports, and talk to your adjuster ourselves. If the damage does not warrant a claim, we say so, with zero pressure.
