JEF Contractors Inc
Roof Replacement

A new roof,
built to last.

Full tear-off and new roof installation built to protect your home for decades. Serving homeowners and property owners across New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, and Massachusetts from our home base in Congers, NY.

The Straight Answer

When does a roof need replacing?

A roof needs replacing when repairs stop making sense: shingles are worn or curling across large areas, leaks keep showing up in new places, or the roof is simply at the end of its service life. One damaged section is usually a repair. A roof that fails a little more every season is a replacement.

The honest way to find out is an inspection, not a sales pitch. We look at the whole roof, show you what we find, and tell you plainly whether a roof repair will hold or whether replacement is the smarter spend. The estimate is free either way, and there is no pressure attached to it. We are a family owned company, and we would rather earn the bigger job later than push it on you today.

Full Tear-Off

What the job includes.

We do not roof over old shingles. Every replacement is a complete rebuild of the roofing system, engineered to last:

  • Tear-off of the old roofing down to the deck
  • Decking inspection before anything new goes on
  • New underlayment across the whole roof
  • Premium shingle installation to meet or exceed code
  • Proper ventilation so the roof breathes and lasts
  • Manufacturer warranties on the finished system
Roofing Systems

Three systems. One standard.

We install the roof that fits your building, not the one that fits our truck.

Shingle Roofing

Architectural shingle roofs that add beauty to your home and provide long-lasting, reliable protection. We install with high-quality materials and advanced techniques.

Flat Roofing

Flat roofing solutions that combine durability and efficiency. Ideal for commercial and residential buildings, designed to withstand the harshest weather conditions.

Torch Down Roofing

Torch down roofing provides superior waterproofing, ideal for flat or low-slope roofs. A safe and durable option that protects your property from leaks and damage.

Timing & Storm Damage

How fast can we start?

Most replacements can be scheduled within a couple of weeks, depending on the season and the scope of the work. Storm damage, active leaks, and insurance claims move to the front of the line. If your roof was hit by hail, wind, or a fallen tree, our insurance claims service handles the inspection, the photo documentation, and the direct communication with your adjuster so the process does not land on your shoulders.

A new roof is also the right moment to look at water management. Gutters that dump rainwater at the foundation undo part of what the new roof protects. Ask about our gutter services when we visit and we will fold it into the same free estimate.

FAQs

Roof replacement questions.

What is included in a full roof replacement?
Everything from tear-off to cleanup. We remove the old roofing down to the deck, inspect the decking for damage, then install new underlayment, premium shingles, and proper ventilation. The finished roof is backed by manufacturer warranties.
Do you inspect the decking before installing the new roof?
Yes. Once the old system is torn off, we check the decking underneath before anything new goes on. Covering damaged decking with new shingles just hides a problem, so we make sure the base is sound first.
Do you replace commercial roofs too?
Yes. We handle complete roof replacement for both residential and commercial properties, including flat roofing and torch down systems for low-slope buildings.
How soon can my replacement be scheduled?
Scheduling depends on the season and the scope of the job, but most replacements can be scheduled within a couple of weeks. Storm damage, active leaks, and insurance claims get prioritized.
Is the new roof covered by a warranty?
Yes. Every replacement we install is backed by manufacturer warranties, and we install to meet or exceed code so the coverage actually holds up.
